Guardians of Ga'hoole--The Capture, is about an owlet named Soren who was pushed out of his nest by his brother. Scared, Soren walked on the forest floor until other owls discovered him, taking him to a strange school. He was given a number and forced to do and learn weird things at this school, including getting brainwashed. He meets some friends, and together, find out this "school" is actually a training camp for orphaned owls and the leader of this training camp is using these orphans to eventually take over the entire owl kingdom.
I read this series when I was a kid and absolutely loved them. I think it would be a good guided reading book for children in the middle elementary grades because this fantasy book will take you to another kingdom, getting lost in the world of owls. It also includes moderately challenging words that will help students become better readers. I would love to use this book and even series in my classroom as guided reading books.

Guardians of Gahoole

This book is about a young owl who goes on an adventure named soren. Has a mom a dad a older brother and a little sister in the family. At night he gets snatched by a couple of owls that take him to an orphanage called ST.aggies orphanage. While here soren meets a friend named gylfie. Gylfie helps soren escape the orphanage and they meet two new friends twilight and digger. Twilight is a great gray owl and digger is a burrower owl. Twilight and digger both went to the orphanage to because diggers family was killed by the owls that work that work at the orphanage. Twilight was snatched the same way soren did when he was very young. After a while soren and his friends found a family of puffins. And helped them with their food supply. After that they found the Great Gahoole Tree.

: my opinion for this book is that it was inspiring because it had lots of learning and words that are ones that i did not know about yet, and really fun to read with all the action, and the adventure, and the magic being used in it it just made me wanna read more. Also it was real exciting with all the battles. when i thought they were going to lose the battles with the evil army
They actually won it. This book really reminds me about the real things like war and battles that have going on in the past. So i have decided to read more of these books to see what happens next.
