Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0788434918, CD-ROM)

While conducting their own genealogical research in the early newspaper issues, Mrs. Beals and Mrs. Kirchner realized that other genealogists might be interested in the wealth of family names and interesting information they were discovering. Accordingly they created several volumes of alphabetical listings. In the Golden New Era volumes any items mentioning a family name, such as advertisements, jury lists, criminal court records, and letters remaining at the post office, have been recorded. Useful information contained in death items may include date and place of death; cause of death; age; occupation; funeral/burial places; and survivors.
