Transcribes personal property deeds for Davidson Co., including deeds of trust, deeds of gift, deeds of transfer, bills of sale, mortgages, marriage agreements, powers of attorney and other agreements. A preponderance of slave sales. ***Historic Sumner County, Tennessee with Genealogies of the Bledsoe, Cage and Douglass Families and Genealogical Notes of Other Sumner County Families - Jay Guy Cisco (1909). Contains some of the most interesting details about the first settlement and the first settlers of the county. ***History of Sweetwater Valley - W. B. Lenoir (1916). Describes the beginnings of Sweetwater Valley through a series of stories. Biographies represent the main text, which ends with churches, schools and local Civil War skirmishes. ***Historical Sketches of the Holston Valleys - Thomas W. Preston (1926). The Holston River valleys, also known as the Kingsport Territory, lie mainly in northeastern TN.
