Mr. Pafford gave an excellent account of John Jay’s critical role in the development of the United States. Like the title suggests, Mr. Jay was overshadowed by his peers during this era, but you get the feeling that Jay ignored fame and went about doing his duties to the best of his abilities. In my opinion this “Forgotten Patriot” is a must read for anyone interested in the early years of the founding of the United States. ( )
