This was much more like what I expect from Mr. Sedaris. Far better than Barrel Fever and almost as good as Me Talk Pretty. Lots of funny and amusing stories from his life and travels. All finished books I've ... I first got into Sedaris by reading Barrel Fever aloud in my Theory of Comedy class in college. I always find him much funnier that way. ... over the last week from PaperbackSwap and BookMooch that I just left unopened until Xmas. They were: Mindless Eating, Barrel Fever, and Running with Scissors. And a friend bought The Theory of Poker off my Amazon wishlist. So it was a great literary Xmas for me. ... Sedaris, and in reference to message 19, I also can't understand the comparisons between Sedaris and Burroughs (although Barrel Fever was much more like Running with Scissors than a lot of Sedaris's later work).
