One little drop to soil her garment. One little drop to cleanse her soul. Abigail was born free, but when her parents die, she's sold into slavery to the family of a Roman soldier in Jerusalem. Fortunately, the Visibullis family is kind, and as years pass, she's proud to serve them. But Abigail's beauty attracts unwanted attention when their son, Jason, returns from Rome. She doesn't dare to defy him . . . but how can she ever love him as he demands? As Jerusalem boils with political unrest and the stories of a rabbi named Jesus who snags Jason's attention, Abigail struggles to find her new place in the family. But then tragedy strikes, and her world is shattered. Desperate for justice, Abigail attends a trial for the criminal responsible-Barabbas. She instead finds herself in the path of Jesus, condemned to die in Barabbas's place. And when a stray drop of the rabbi's blood falls upon her, she knows Jason had been right. This Man really is the Son of God. Only in the wake of His touch can she find what her heart has always longed for. Love, in the place she least expected to find it . . . and freedom for a soul that had resigned itself to slavery.… (more)

I'm debating if I review this or not... And if it is 2 stars or if there is enough depth to give it 3 as there were many sexually suggestive things said and started to be described. Plus some questionable theology things.

*sigh* I'm not sure what to think of this one...

How do I put into words my thoughts on this absolutely WONDERFUL and AMAZING Biblical fiction book WITHOUT giving away spoilers? I just don't know where to begin! I suppose that I could say that this book was great and well written and all the usual things that come in a review. But this one, I just don't feel good about doing that.

I reviewed two books by Jill Eileen Smith not long ago, both of which were Biblical fiction, Abigail and Michal. However, as good as those ones were, A Stray Drop of Blood is so much BETTER than those! The feeling I got while reading of Abigail and her struggles as a slave then a mother and widow at such a young age, of the love and the tragedy among those she loved....it's so powerful! I am just in awe over this book. For it to have that kind of pull is just absolutely astounding!

Roseanna White brought us a wonderful debut novel. This is a book that is just too good to pass up(I know I keep saying that but I just can't say it enough!). It is at the TOP of my recommendation list! Her writing style is just too fascinating to forget, and the journey that she takes you on, through an epic era in time, and the way her words describe the intimate detail of living during those times was just beyond words. I felt a true part of this story and I felt God reach out and touch me with this book. P-O-W-E-R-F-U-L!!

While I recommend this book to everyone, my recommendation comes with a warning: take stock in tissues and make sure that you have lots of time set aside to read this and truly focus on this wonderfully captivating, complex story of a time long ago. The after thought from this book is just as powerful as reading the story itself!

Please, grab a copy(click here to order!) of A Stray Drop of Blood TODAY! It is absolutely worth your time to read it and think about it afterwards. You won't soon forget these amazing characters or this author. Roseanna M. White is a 5 star author with a definite 5 star debut novel and deserves the highest of praises for the best book I have ever read to date (and I have read LOTS of great books!)!!! ( )
