This wordless book is the fantastic adventure of three young friends as they discover a bag of chalk at the playground and begin to draw pictures. They quickly realize that what they draw will come to life and then the trouble begins. Quick thinking and ingenuity save the day. This inventive and entertaining story appeals to a child's sense of curiosity, creativity, and resourcefulness.

Critical Analysis: This wordless picture book contains complex two-page artwork spreads in vivid color tones that depict believable actions. Thompson's use of line and shadow provide significant t meaning and move the story brilliantly. This book also supports children's language development, develops autonomy, and encourages self-efficacy.
