Learning Curve By Diana Hunter As a young girl, Sam fancied herself a writer. Excited, she showed her first story to a classmate, who labeled it yucky because Sam's female protagonists had been tied up when they were captured by the bad guys. Abashed, Sam spent the next decade caging her vivid fantasies of being tied up, and cultivating the good girl image that society expected. Until she met Peter. Sam didn't understand why her body responded so violently to his kiss, only that when it did, her fantasies banged at the bars of their cage and threatened to break free. The night they finally escaped, Sam's life changed forever. Kara's Captain By Diana Hunter A Lord Byron-handsome sea captain trapped in the ice two hundred years ago... An independent, modern woman who hears, then writes the stories of dead people... What's a writer to do when Captain Robert Walton of Frankenstein fame suddenly shows up, claiming to be real, alive, but trapped in the Arctic ice? After Kara Godwin gets over her initial shock, she does what any self-respecting author would do. She writes the story, publishes it and tries to ignore the ghost that has invaded her life. She knows he is the one man who can truly satisfy her dark desires. Too bad he is only a figment of her lustful imagination. But the Captain is real, and he wants more than just her stories. He wants Kara...body, heart, and soul. New York Moment By Diana Hunter Aidan Quincy likes his sex bound tight and open to his every whim. Getting an uptight, professional woman like Penelope Templeton to bow to that whim is a challenge he can't pass up. Penny Templeton can't help the way her body trembles every time she sees her boss. She is determined, however, that she will not end up as part of a long line of Aidan Quincy mistresses. But a not-so-innocent ride through the streets of New York finds both of them making discoveries neither of them expected.… (more)

I've read several Ellora's Cave anthologies over the years and quite enjoyed most of them, but this was not my favorite book. For some reason, the stories didn't seem to go together for me. (I prefer anthologies where the stories are similar genres.) That's not to say that I didn't enjoy a couple of them. I did. It's just that on a whole they were so different that I had trouble getting into the anthology. If you don't mind different genres/themes, then check this one out. ( )
