One of the best story-driven games of the last years.
The game tells a complex story about a multiracial universe that is threatened by a mysterious power. But no one will belief in the threat, it is the players part to make them belief and mount a defense.
The decisions you take as Com.Shepard even shape the story, though every playthrough yields a different experience.
The game is constructed around an rpgcenter and builds strongly on charcter-npc interaction and has light shooter elements.
Mass Effect Part 1 is the only part of the Mass Effect-Trilogy that I would recommend without reservations. ( )

Gave up after five minutes. The interface is poorly designed and it's too hard trying to figure out which way you're heading when comparing what you see to the overhead map. ( )
