I was completely attracted to this book when I saw it in a sotre as a kid; I was picking up school books so naturally I was interested in other things. This was it and I really wanted it; I ended up reading it in a single day and it was so chilling and cool that I was stunned by it. I highly recommend it for anyone really. It's a read you go into not quite expecting to love it as much as you will. ( )

This book details one week in the life of Keith who has offered to care for his 3 year old sister Annie while his Mum is away & his Dad is at work during school holidays. Everything seems to be working out fine until the “Firestarter” Reece moves in next door. Reece is staying with his aunt in a last ditch attempt to beat prison or a mental hospital. Reece is quite taken with Annie but when he borrows he rag doll and returns it singed & broken, Keith knows he has to terminate this friendship – fast! When the local pizza parlor mysteriously burns down, Keith knows he is in serious trouble!
