This story seemed all over the place. IT was going to be one I did not finish but since I had so much done, I pushed through. If I had the option to give 2.5, that would have been my rating. Weak mystery, slow romance and loss of interest in the characters about half way through. ( )

The premise sounded cute. Unfortunately, the execution fell short of what I’ve seen from this author’s other works. I find the idea of falling in love, having a sexual relationship, and deciding to marry in the space of a few days ludicrous, at best. Yet, that is exactly what this book has the two main characters doing — all against the background of an insufficiently handled mystery over a missing performing chicken. The “romantic” scenes read more like soft-core porn.

I’m glad this is not my first Evanovich story or I doubt I would read another. ( )

Funny book, yet a little short with the end everything feeling like it was tied together in a bow, rather that expanded even by a couple pages. ( )

Not the best neither the worst. I just don't like the idea of falling in love at first sight because it's preposterous and is not realistic. Just not my cup of tea. ( )

A woman who use to be a clown, a man and a chicken! You may wonder how that makes a story but it does...a fun read after dealing with your own day to day calamities. 😂 ( )
