A fun book to help introduce math to young children. It also incorporates the introduction of the many colors of the rainbow. More or less a good book for a parent to read to a small child or toddler.

This is a great visual book for young infants and children. For the colors, it has five pages of different colors then one final page with all the colors. Then it counts 1 through 10 by not only showing the number but by showing the corresponding number of mice. Next it takes one through each of the letters of the alphabet, with little mice interacting with each letter. This is a great introduction to each of the three concepts. It is also cute and fun. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0375854746, Board book)

Leo Lionni's playful mice present the three most basic early-learning concepts in one irresistible board book. Cheerful collage mice prance across the pages as they identify the colors of the rainbow. They make math fun by counting each other. And they're up to their best tricks as they cavort, juggle and play hide-and-seek with the 26 letters of the alphabet.

With its rounded corners and non-toxic ink, Colors, Numbers, Letters can be enjoyed by the very youngest of "readers." It's brimful of fun things for parents to point out and talk about with their baby or toddler, and makes an inexpensive, yet beautiful and thoughtful gift for baby showers.
