Un breve y conciso libro en el que se expone el papel o tema que corresponde a nuestra generación. Cada generacíon enmarcada en un tiempo concreto, toma del pasado para dejar algo a la posteridad. En nuestro tiempo es necesario encontrar el punto medio entre el racionalismo y el relativismo radical. Sólo supeditando ambas a la propia vida, se puede alcanzar esa razón vital, útil y necesaria para no deshumanizar ni caer en el nihilismo más absoluto.
El estilo directo y claro de Ortega y Gasset contrasta con la amplia introducción que han hecho del texto, bastante más rimbombante y vacia. ( )
