This is a re-issue of the book, which Harris dedicates because of his illustrations which seem to have really impressed Harris as capturing the spirit of the book.

You kind of need to read this out loud to figure out the dialectical (is that a word?) writing. Horrifically politically incorrect for these "enlightened" days, but the stories are charming. Who can forget the tar baby and the briar patch? Oh, for the wisdom of Uncle Remus! ( )
