Loading... Theology and Social Theory: Beyond Secular Reason (Political Profiles)by John Milbank
This is a very dense, and very hard to read, even if you are schooled in the various fields Milbanks covers. His thesis, that theology has a place at the table, but on its own terms, not just as a bastard step child, is admirable. I would give it five stars, except that it is just inpenetrable in too many places. ( )I've read enough about this book to pretty much get the "reductio." But every time I've tried to read this, I get utterly lost by about page 200. |
