Again, not to everyone's taste, but I enjoyed Dillard's fleshing out of the story and the interactions to the characters as they encountered the "metaphasic radiation." ( )

A fine novelization of a quite good Star Trek - The Next Generation movie of the same title. Well-written, with a nice complement of action, good plot, characterization and humor, this is the story of a small band of people being forced to leave their home planet by the Federation so that the rest of the galaxy can share their acquired immortality, until Picard intervenes. A good story and a fine morality play, in the best Star Trek tradition. ( )
