Synopsis:
Who is A? Who tried to kill Hannah? Secrets will be revealed in the fourth novel (and final arc in the first quartet) of the Pretty Little Liars series.

My Review:
The fourth book in Sara Shedpard's Pretty Little Liars gave a great ending to one of the many plot lines - who is the first A? I was very happy that this story arc came to a close, since the mystery of A was beginning to become more of a bother than an interesting plot line.

Some of the characters do seem whiny and annoying, at least by an adult's standards, but it is fitting in the setting of the high school teenagers dealing with a crazy murderer.

This book will get you hooked from start to finish. With the tease of knowing who A is, you'll be grasping onto this book desperately and not wanting to let it go. Each character has a different chapter and it rotates so the reader gets many points of views within this final novel within the first quartet in Pretty Little Liars.

This book moved at a good, fast paced and the plot line was well thought out. There wasn't much more I wanted out of this book! The plot arc coming to a close made the four books arc perfectly over. I can't wait to get the fifth book in this series! This book was not as slow in the movement of plot as the first three were! Sara Shepard seems to be getting better and better with each PLL book that comes out.

If you have watched the television series you must be aware that this series does not follow directly with the show. This series was made first, and thus there was changes.

For readers who are not as impressed with this series as I am - every quartet is a great place to stop if you don't want to leave things off on a bad ending. Each quartet seems to have a good ending if you felt the need to stop, but there will still be a few unanswered questions. That being said, if you chose to stop here, it would help tie up most of the loose ends.

Five out of five stars! A good, quick read with great movements in plot! ( )

what's truly unbelievable is that I'm still addicted to these books

They're not sinfully bad - I still think they're fairly solid, exciting books, although the thrills are minor considering it doesn't exactly invite you to get attached to it. They're paced at a breakneck speed with at least considerable developments every chapter, the characters are clear-cut and what you see is exactly what you get with them.

But...man. They feel like they're just some brand-listing padding on a skeletal plan of the book. It has no connection to me, I can't identify any characters' voices from each other (except maybe Hanna since she's so...salty?), and I'm not really rooting for anyone or dreading anything. It's so empty and yet is satisfying in the way - forgive the analogy that makes me sound 50 years old - that social media is, like with every refresh I get something new. No ruminations here. Just scene scene scene scene. And this is my fourth book in like two weeks, so obviously it works.

(also, tfw you have so many generic white people that you have a character named noel AND a character named noelle)

I'm gonna be continuing, but with the show, to fourteen-year-old me's utter shock. ( )

I hate Kate. And Hanna's dad. They ruined Hanna in this book. Usually I enjoy reading her chapters but Kate is so ugh and Mr. Marin is like the worst excuse for a father I've ever seen. (I do blame some of that on the way the adults were written) Loved the book though. ( )

With each book, they seem to get better!

This story was amazing..In this one, you find out who A actually is...And whether they're story with A will continue or not.

There were deaths in this book (and other books) that weren't in the show. Which in all honesty, I'm kind of glad they made many changes in the show because that gave some people to redeem themselves and well, some, to get even more evil! (No, I'm not giving spoilers, because I didn't say who or how it happened!)

There are people in Unbelievable that are actually quite cool that aren't so much in the show. And some who are a heck of a lot more anal in the book that aren't quite as anal in the show. They still are a bit stiff in the show, but even more so in the book. And of course, there are things in this book that didn't happen in the show or were just switched up a bit. And those who have read the series, should have an idea of what I mean..And if anyone decides to read the books, will be able to figure out what I mean as well.

But so far, this book is the Best by far in the series. I just hope that it continues to get better! If it does, then I just might end up finishing the whole series, which now consist of 16 books! The 16th due to come out this year some time I believe. That's a lot of books for one series! lol...I know there have been other authors who have done many books in a series but this is My First with this many.

I'm glad, so far, that I have picked up this series. I know not to marathon them because I will end up burning myself out on these books if I do. So I will just read them as I feel the urge to. I chose to read books 3 and 4 in this series during this week because of the Booktube-A-Thon that is taking place right now. So, by the time I finished book 3, I just couldn't wait to see what happened, and I knew this being BTA week, it would push me to finish it much faster.

My other two books got wet, so I'm not quite sure when I will be able to pick them up again..I was able to salvage them a bit, but I may just wait until I order new ones before I continue on. If I can't wait, then I will just try to read the messed up ones if I can..lol...But hopefully I will be able to order them really soon (within the next week) and get them pretty quickly. ( )
