This 3rd Stephanie Plum isn't my favorite so far. That said, I still liked it. I just felt like I didn't really get attached to the story until about halfway through and usually I am busting up within 30 pages or so. Fans of this series will probably still love it but I hope this was just one of those 'slump' books - cause the first two were great. Anyone care to enlighten me if I should continue reading the rest of the series or not? ( )

This book was given to me by a client a sold a furnace to. I really hated this at first because it felt like a "chick" book. After about 60 pages I was ready to give it up but felt compelled to finish it because I promised the person who gave it to me that I would read it. Really grew on me. Funny. Ended up really liking it. ( )

This is one of the more plotted ones, and it is nice to see how Stephanie actually does manage to solve it. It's a bit more violent than some of the other books in the series, and the relationships between Stephanie and the other characters are still forming. ( )

The third installment of the Stephanie Plum novels is darker with more dead people. It started off very slow, but the pace quickly increased by 3/4 of the book. This book definitely explored more of the plum/morelli relationship, which I felt was the best part of the book. ( )

Stephanie Plum

Three to Get Deadly

Book description

Amazon.com (ISBN 0140256083, Paperback)

As readers of Janet Evanovich's two previous books about funny, feisty, family-tied bounty hunter Stephanie Plum already know, she operates in "the burg"--a "comfy residential chunk of Trenton, New Jersey, where houses and minds are proud to be narrow and hearts are generously wide open." On this turf, Plum fights for justice and fashion points--this time in pursuit of a beloved neighborhood candystore owner who seems to be moonlighting as an anti-drug vigilante. Evanovich now lives in New Hampshire, but authentic affection for Trenton energizes her prose. Plums in paperback include One for the Money and Two for the Dough.
