I buy memento guide books regularly when I travel, and this is definitely one of the top gems to own. The Anne Frank House did a fantastic job capturing the essence of Anne Frank, her family/helpers, while maintaining the practicality of being a guidebook in this little half inch thick book. With a double fold cover showing the layout of the house, this book has photos of the house in its present museum state, reconstructed layout of the hiding spaces, family and friends. The accompanying text is just the right amount to give the backstory and explanations without being overwhelming. Again, great book to buy when you visit the Anne Frank House, which of course is a must-do when you’re in Amsterdam. ( )

The story of Anne Frank in the house in Amsterdam. Explains her history as well as the history of the house as it becomes a museum. Very well done. ( )

A nice guide to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. The front cover opens up to a full cross-section drawing of the entire building, and the ensuing pages show each room in its period form, since the museum has almost no furniture in it. There are brief description of each house mate, their bedroom, and it's converted state and use. At the end of the guide, there are accounts of everyone's demise at the hands of the Nazi's and the history of the museum itself. A worthy purchase and read. ( )
