Mousy little Heidi is a wanna-be designer who works as nothing more than a glorified go-fer for one of the largest and most well-known companies in the world of fashion. When she accidentally stains CEO Mr. Kaiser's pants, she gets two things she didn't expect—a spanking…and a job. Heidi stumbles over the feet of Warren Kaiser at a photoshoot. He then disciplines her for ruining his trousers. He also offers her the job of his assistant. She accepts the contract and learns the meaning of discipline.

I liked Heidi. Kaiser was harder to like. I liked Heidi's friend Lenny. He protected her when she did would not stand up for herself. I knew that eventually Heidi would get to Kaiser and I was happy with the ending.

Selena Kitt is one of my favorite author's and I look forward to more of her books. ( )

Well is book is a bit over the top for me. Well written so don't get me wrong about that but the initinal down right meanness of kaiser was rather gross. In most of the Dom books I've read they take care of the submissive he never really " took care" of Heidi. It also moved to to fast with her total devotion & I love you's to him. There was one particular act early on in an elevator & a piece of fabric ( trying not to spoil it) that was ewww & I have yet to come by something in one of these lady porn books that has made me say ewww!! Not my favorite book. check out my blog for more reviews http://iloveladyporn.blogspot.com ( )

This book is not for the faint of heart. There is not as much sex in this as you would expect from an erotica book, but what is there is very steamy. The BDSM that takes place in this story is on the light side. Mostly just a " little slap and tickle". Not too bad of a story. ( )

Disgusting.

That is the best word to describe my feelings on this "book." I thought it would be an entertaining, light read. That is not what this is. There was very little by way of description, back story, or substance to any of the characters. There wasn't even enough information about Heidi. Certainly nothing that would give any indication as to why she has absolutely no self-respect or self-worth (and, newsflash, this is not the signature of a submissive). I'm sure the author thought this would be titillating and ultimately sweet. Instead it was demeaning and degrading.

This is not a D/s story about a boss and his secretary with a happily ever after. If that is what you're looking for, I suggest you run in the other direction. This is a story about a woman who allows herself to become absolutely nothing more than a human sex toy for her boss's personal and professional use. Yes, you read that right, professional use. She doesn't care, however, as she has somehow developed feelings for him (though there has been nothing between them other than his professional commands and their brief encounters in the office) and any other ambition she had is lost in her need to serve him - in any and every way he desires. "Heidi would do anything" doesn't even begin to describe it. The supposed "happy ending" will have you rolling your eyes, cringing in disgust, and praying that the both of them are sterile.

Please, save yourself the rage and disgust and find a read that is actually sexy and romantic, there are plenty out there. This is most certainly not it.

With only 137 actual novel pages this book surprised me on several levels.

The erotica scenes in the book are hot, but almost any bdsm novel will give you steamy sex scenes, and to be a decent read I also like an exploration of theme or subject matter in some form.

To my mind the description and motivation of the main characters is what lifts this book above the ordinary. This is largely due to Heidi's character, which is at complete odds with what modern western culture would deem a positive character trait set for a woman.
Heidi comes across as a doormat with low self esteem, unable to stand up for herself. How can you value or even like a pushover? What is the attraction of making a doormat submit?
Well, Kaiser sees her differently. He does value her.
So is it enough? Will it last? Can a doormat get a happy ending, especially when the fruits of the talent she does possess get robbed from underneath her?

So there lies the main theme and attraction of the plot. There is a complete story here and it's an interesting one. Even though I wished the author had added some more lines and paragraphs in places to beef up the novel, what is there is well written, and worth the read. Highly recommended. ( )

This is a little cracker of a story…The characters are so engaging, and so convincingly drawn, that I read the whole thing through in one sitting as easily as eating ice cream…some of the most scorching scenes I've ever read, and better yet, their relationship unfolds within an involving storyline of high fashion and intrigue.
