There is some interesting stuff in this, but ultimately it left me wanting more and sometimes disagreing strongly with the author. Don't get me wrong, Gibson-Roberts is an authority in her field and she has done her research. Here she reaches a conclusion as to how she feels a sock should be constructed and I'm afraid I just can't agree. I'm still glad I own this book. ( )

Socks that fit whose heels can be easily mended! Short row socks. Great instructions on how to measure your feet for correct sizing and therefore making socks that fit well.

The queen of the short-row heel and toe explains it all. Socks that never break the yarn or need a sewing needle? What's not to love? ( )
