This is a beautiful book with photographs that make it suitable to display as a "coffee table" book. But, it also has enough information to teach you a lot about beavers. I learned so much about their role in history, their bodies, lifestyle, habitat. And the book is so well written, with touches of the author's sense of humour flashing through, along with his deep love of nature and excellent knowledge base. You'll enjoy this book whether you read it from cover to cover (as I did) or just show more savour the photographs (which I also did). show less
