The title is exactly correct. Explanations are clearly laid out, and there's lots of practice. Not for the absolute beginner, because it seems like some prior vocab is expected. If one is absolutely new to French, try a different approach first, get some vocab under your belt, then you can concentrate on learning about etre and avoir.
