This book has a lot of history in it; I was looking for something that more directly addressed the linguistic aspects of the ancient Egyptian writing system. There were no color illustrations.

Entry level book with good illustrations and descriptions of word meanings. Very good for background and review for the more sophisticated reader of Ancient Egyptian texts.

A very good book on the life, beliefs, and accomplishments of ten different trades, professions, etc. Very informative, and very readable as well.
