There are two aspects to this story that make it a great to read to kids: 1) it deals with the consequences of uncontrolled anger, and 2) demonstrates the type of energy that anger provides. The illustrations are great, but this short book provides parents with a good opportunity to discuss how to handle anger, and the potential fuel it can be to overcome challenges.
Beautiful book. Gorgeous illustrations. Ed is in a bad mood and just keeps sweeping with his anger. The pile keeps getting bigger and bigger. Will Ed ever stop sweeping? Hm... I guess you need to read it to find out! Just a sweet story.
Who sweeps leaves? Why doesn't this dude have a rake? Is this a thing that happens in big cities where there are maybe no actual lawns?
Nothing that happened in the book was interesting enough to derail me from this train of thought.

Very lackluster both in terms of visual appeal and storyline. It's quite a dry tale, one that both somehow predictable and too boring to even try and predict. I like the idea of trying to explore big emotions for a younger reader, but this doesn't deliver.
