This book is geared towards those who are hoping to get involved in making maple syrup production or increasing the size of their operation. It covers the details of equipment and processes in great depth. It also features a good deal of information on how to market unique products or develop rich and rewarding community connections. I found the book to be very interesting and was impressed by the depth of information. It would have been nice to see some more in the chapter of forest show more management. There are other resources available for that but it would have rounded out the book better to cover forest health and management in nearly as much depth as the equipment.
I would also mention that this is not a title for hobbyist or those just getting started. show less
