This is a dark romance novel that features the character Kingston, who kidnaps Ava as a way to settle her brother's debt. The complex dynamic between Kingston and Ava kept me invested in the characters and their journey. The book ended on a cliffhanger. I enjoyed this book a lot. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and see how the story plays out. I'm curious to know if Kingston can redeem himself and if Ava can help him overcome his demons. However, be warned that there are show more some trigger warnings, and it's not for the faint of heart!

I wasn't expecting the angst that this book had. Beautiful and at times heartbreaking. The author did a good job creating characters that made me feel and that got me invested in the story.
I did want more in regards to Greyson coming to grips with everything regarding Alex, Jessica, and Dylan. I also wanted him to grovel a bit more.

Extremamente emocional, mais da metade do livro o coração fica apertadinho.
Para mim a mocinha chora demais, basicamente é isso que ela faz a história inteira rsssr ou ta chorando ou ta transando com o marido, as vezes as duas coisas ao mesmo tempo.
O final fica meio melodramatico, acho um bocado cansativo esse plote do "tem que dizer que ama... espero as 3 palavras, blablabla" enfim... paciencia, parece meio que termo obrigatório para romance histórico.
Não dei 5 estrelas show more por falta de atitude e excesso de lagrimas da mocinha. show less
