A nostalgia trip through the seminal label Flying Nun; I was obsessed with so many of the bands in my early university days, bought their virtually every release and listened to them play at the Gluepot. Not all of them have stood the test of time. The book is also great for a fan like me, but have my doubts whether someone with less affliation would be so appreciative. The text is rather clunky, although also a down-to-earth account of setting up a music label as a hobby and running it from show more cardboards boxes with virtually no marketing, contracts or other organisation. Hard to believe in this digital commercialised era, I miss it so. show less
