Pang Guek Cheng

As far as I can tell, this book is fairly accurate and broad in coverage of the country. On the negative side, the author consistently uses the term "Kazakh" to describe both the ethnic Kazakhs AND all citizens of Kazakhstan. Most of the photos captioned "Kazakh children" show a group of ethnic Russians/Europeans. It's jarring, and unfortunately detracts from the authority of the text.
