Dry, and I struggled through it. I think I mostly was confused over why you would read this instead of Kirkegaard's own writing, which I do enjoy, or Bertrand Russell's sharp and humorous analyses, which have much more context and more points of interest. It wasn't terrible, just dull and a bit redundant I guess.
An older basic introduction. Part One covers theoretical ethics and introduces the main thinkers and issues. The focus is much more on moral philosophy than Christian theological ethics but one of the best introductions to that area. Part Two applies this to various issues (eg abortion, human rights, genetic engineering) and again a good survey of the debates but little explicitly Christian reflection. There are questions for discussion throughout.
Includes chapters on 'What is Truth', 'The Everlasting, Suffering God,' 'Omnipotence,' and 'Miracles.'
