The Gates to Hell have been opened in the tiny Irish town of Bishop’s Point. Father O'Riley and Father O'Malley are the only hope of saving the town from the diabolic horde.
Another masterpiece from the maelstrom of ideas residing in the head of Simon Carr. As always there are so many hilarious bits of dialog that make most of Mr Carr’s work unsuitable for reading on public transport – Oh! The looks you get from the other passengers when you look like you’re in the middle of a medical show more emergency. show less

What happens when monsters start to be perceived as cuddly and nice? Count Dracula isn't happy and flies over to America to kill the loveable undead kids who started the trend following their parents being cursed.
What follows is an all out war between scary and not so scary monsters of every kind.
Written with a high level of humour, a deluge of bad language and plenty of adult only content this was at times laugh out loud funny and at others a head in hands groan-a-thon.
A fun novella with a show more narrator who throws himself into both the characters and the humour with abandon. show less

Once again Simon Carr delivers a madcap, lunacy filled tale from the deep recesses of his dark creative mind.
Karen is a another laugh-out-loud episode in the Apocalyse Blockers series and is filled with hilarious dialog from start to finish
If you're not a fan of British humour or excessive expletives then leave this one on the shelf, otherwise fill your boots and then check out the rest show more of the books in the series.
Why doesn't this have 5 stars? The use of an American narrator for a book that is very British in tone. But's that's just my opinion being British myself show less

Have your inhaler handy on the two days it will take for this laugh-out-loud save-the-universe quest satire with an extremely snarky narrator.
