Wiped on a sleeve once too often, the stifled snout vanishes from his owner's visage without a trace. The boy discovers his errant nozzle on Nose Island, plotting to conquer the world. Nose is the best read-aloud picture book in many a year.
I like this book a lot, especially the voice of the narrator. My daughter, four, is also fond of it, but finds the ending "melancholy"! (NOTE: It isn't; it's very funny. She can write her own review.)
This is a wonderful fantasy book of a boy who doesn't appreciate the nose he was given and it ends up leaving his face with only a note left for him. The boy develops throughout the book while learning how to appreciate what he has been given.
This is a great source of fantasy because it tells a humoring story about a nose that got irritated with his "former face" and ran away. It tells about how the nose went to Nose Island and how Jason had to go find him.

Jason as the protagonist because he has to go to Nose Island and find his nose as well as try to find a way to convince his nose to come back home with him.
