I recently saw Chicago on a national tour and this CD recreates that music perfectly. (It doesn't reflect the film, so be aware of that.) It reflects the sassy/brassy characters and made me smile with 74 minutes of storytelling. This classic music has aged well in the years since 1996.

My favorites are We Both Reached for the Gun, Mr. Cellophane, and Razzle Dazzle. I am very glad I got the CD with the lyrics, synopsis, and pictures.

If you enjoy recordings of stage musicals, this recording show more belongs in your collection. show less
Cute and harsh. A pretty gripping story. Never seen it on stage, just the Richard Gere movie. Love the "Mr. Cellophane" number by Riley. So good.
This is the most brilliant depiction of the making of a Broadway musical. We get a first hand glance at the backstage artistry that went into creating this definitive performance.
One of my favorite musicals. A beautiful story about love and the lengths we will go to for that love.
