The way the book opened, I expected Jacob Henderson to be the protagonist of the story. But after having an entire chapter devoted to his POV, he disappears from the story and contributes nothing to the plot. Also, why the Asters consider him creepy is never explained. His chapter made him out to be just a regular guy.
The rest of the book was fine, but these kinds of inconsistencies kept me from enjoying it more.
