Vestiges of Grandeur: The Plantation of Louisiana's River Road by Richard Sexton

Stunningly beautiful photos of an era long gone. I wish I was half the photographer. Some of the plantations have been restored and the text goes into some fascinating history of those as well as the renovation process.
