In 1944, Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat volunteered for a daring mission to save Hungarian Jews from the Nazi's. He issued fake documents, set up safe houses and organized support to raise help for those threatened. Oftentimes, he risked his own life to pull Jews from transports or rescue them from the list of deportees. Once the Soviet's liberated Hungary, Wallenberg mysteriously disappeared. It is assumed that he was arrested by the Soviet's who assumed he was a spy. Little is show more written about the heroic men and women who attempted to save lives during the holocaust. As such, this is a valuable text on an otherwise little discussed topic. show less
