Reviews
A very nice book on the career of the BB-3 Battleship Oregon. A very good description of the voyage around South America and the Battle of Santiago from the Oregon's perspective. The author's sources include someone who was in the battle. The further history of the Oregon in WWI and through the end of WWII is covered in detail. The author makes a number of mistakes in naval facts and terminology, but these are minor. It is a national disgrace that the Oregon was taken in 1943 from being a show more memorial ship to being an ammunition hulk to be eventually scrapped in 1947. show less
