Good for a second book in a series, pretty fully developed, not too much repeating, but book one is the best of the series.

Having escaped from the Processor and with the truth behind the Eastern Order finally revealed, Kress and her fellow Seventeens go on the run. Guided by Render, they find themselves in the mountains where they encounter a group of fellow teenagers who have escaped from another small town like the Valta. Finding a clue that there may be a resistance movement in San show more Francisco, the Seventeens complete a dangerous, enemy-filled journey west. Joining forces with the Insubordinates, a guerrilla army of counter-insurgents led by an unexpected but familiar field general, Kress and her Conspiracy set out to expose the government’s lies about the Eastern Order and to reclaim the democracy so many of them and their families died trying to protect. show less

Great read!

If you enjoyed the Divergent and Hinger Games series, you’ll also enjoy this book. Quick easy read that left me excited to read the next book in the series.
All children born in a given year have the same birthday. On your seventh birthday you are picked up and taken away - as these teens soon discover - they are in a military training camp.

I just started this book, and it already has me hooked! Think the raven will be an important character.
