This is an excellent collection of fairly short stories that feature a lot of bad things happening to bad people. There isn't really a clunker in the bunch. All the writers have style and they don't believe in boundaries, so prepare to be offended. And entertained. I would give it five stars, except it has absolutely no redeeming social value! (And that's the point.)
A novella sized story that is so compellingly written it's hard to
put down. Something about the slacker character captured in the first person narration just captures his character. It's all about the adventures of a slacker who wants a payday but doesn't want to strain
himself working. Answering phones at the health dept- makes up any response he pleases. Working as a reporter - same deal - make up any story he pleases and spend his time in the local bar. Rhatigan gets this
guy - gets his show more motivations - and gets you as the reader to see things from this SOB's point of view. show less

Race to the Bottom is a fairly-short, easy-to-read novella detailing the sad downward spiral of a slacker. It's about a Drunk, hungover, user of friends, holder of a job at Bullseye (like a Kmart), sleepy, late, sarcastic, snitch, and all-around loser. But somehow once you pick this up, it's hard to put down. You just gotta find out what happens next.
Great anthology with a great premise, base the stories on the songs from the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. Many standouts, you'll be laughing, flinching and smiling as these great writers riff off the movie that changed how crime was filmed.
