This book covers what was known about human evolution 35 years ago. This book was published in 1970, so we have 35 more years of evidence and conclusions about human evolution. The picture is now much more complete. The writing is annoying in its old-fashioned usage of "man" and "his" to mean "humans" and "their." But it's still an interesting and well-written book, which reviews exactly what bones were known and what they could tell us.
