An excellent little book with a balanced review of the virtues or otherwise of returning to gold-based money. A good historical summary of gold as money and an extensive bibliography.
The 2012 Republican platform called for investigating a return to the gold standard. With this idea still being discussed, I decided that it would be useful to read a book arguing for the value of gold. This book is readable but not convincing.
