Reviews
This book of "controversial theory, practical wisdom and infectious pleasure" was unfinished when its author died at sea on a voyage undertaken in the hope of recovering his health. It was edited by his friend, Rafael Sabatini, himself a fine fisher and a magnificent fly-dresser, and published in a small edition in 1917. Stuart was a most successful fisherman. He was equally successful in starting discussion, and very little has een written on sea trout since his day that has not had show more something to say of his theories and methods.
