Interesting overview of Tiberius's reign which takes into account recent discoveries in Spain of texts of Senatorial decrees to do with the death of Germanicus and the trial of Piso. Much of the reign is seen as a power struggle within the ruling family between the Julians and the Claudians.
A useful overview. The foreword says that the series is directed at 'A' Level and first year undergraduate students, and there are times one can easily imagine "DISCUSS" being added to sentences.
