Lots of great parts in this film and Lindsay Lohan is adorable playing twins, but what keeps me from giving this movie 5 stars is... why did anyone think it'd be a good idea to split up a pair of twins at birth? I mean, fucking really. It's a really weak plot foundation.
This is rather twee, and it's very dated now, of course - but still, we thought it a delightful film featuring twins separated at birth, neither of whom knows of the other's existence at the start of the story.

A young Hayley Mills stars as both the twins, and does so extremely well, even demonstrating two different American accents for the sisters, brought up in different States. In the days before computer-generated special effects, it's quite remarkable what was achieved.

More for children show more and young teens than for adults, but we liked it anyway. show less
2021 movie #101. 1967. A parody of business which apparently was quite funny in 1967 but a bit dated today. Based on an actual a satiric business book, a window washer (Morse) fakes his way to the top of the corporate ladder using the book as his guide.
Separated twins discover their parents' bizarre conspiracy to keep them secret.

2.5/4 (Okay).

It's about 75% children's movie (which is tedious, but at least it's not a musical) and 25% romantic comedy (which is actually pretty good).
