The Spirit in the Gene: Humanity's Proud Illusion and the Laws of Nature (Comstock Book) by Reg Morrison
This book got me all funked out and depressed. He argues that we are not smarter than our genes and are destined for extinction. If he really believes that why did he write the book? I guess he's hoping it will serve as a wake up call before we turn the planet into a gravel pit that serves as a cesspool. I hope he's wrong. If everyone had two kids and cut back even a little bit, the population would slowly contract to a more sustainable level. The planet can't sustain 6 billion people all show more living like an average American. show less
