"Sales associate" and "assembly line worker" are not first words. They are not words anyone should know. They are words that prepare you for your life as a slave.
I really only got this for my collection. I do not really care for the artwork, but fans of the Hanson-Roberts deck will surely appreciate it. I must say that the backs of the cards are adorable!
Although the Majors follow the Rider-Waite symbolism, on the Minor they seem to jumbled. For example, 9 of Pentacles depict a gnome hoarding coins. Whereas, generally in a Rider-Waite deck it depicts a woman looking wistfully at a garden with coins and stands for material satisfaction, but lacking show more spiritual fulfilment; hoarding or greediness represented by the 4 of Pentacles (reversed) on the Rider-Waite deck.
Another example would be 3 if cups, which on a tradition deck had three women dancing, possibly a happy homecoming: the Tarot of the Gnomes depict a gnome gnome smashing grapes, which to me indicates industry of some sort. And why he is completely unclothed is beyond me!
The 6 of Cups for the Tarot of the Gnomes looks more like a happy homecoming, with two grown gnomes dancing; a Rider-Waite 6 of Cups depicts children and usually represents nostalgia (a more sinister meaning if reversed, that I will not mention). Many such discrepancies are in the Minor Arcana of this deck.
However, I do like that the Minors have the picture along the bottom with a large number with the suite at the top of the card so there is no mistaking of that, anyway. show less

This was a good book to introduce simple phrases and the cadence of French to the kids. It's about Teddy, and it goes through an iteration of repeating simple phrases to make sure that the children have a better chance of grasping the words.
The one drawback of this book--and it's a large one, hence only the 3.5 stars--is that there's no pronunciation guide. So particularly for someone like me, who's also learning with her children, I could be pronouncing the words entirely wrong.

Per i più piccoli. Le scene illustrate nel libro risultano ripetitive o troppo elementari per attrarre l'interesse dei bambini con più di 2 anni.
