The true story of a husband who nearly got away with the murder of his wife; as told by the district attorney. I found it very intriguing, occasionally humorous, touching at other times. In a couple of areas I got hung up on phrasology, but overall a very good account of a criminal case from start to finish.

4129 Death in a Fishpond A Perfect Husband, A Perfect Marriage, A Perfect Murder? by Howard R. Lemcke (read 12 Feb 2006) The author is a veteran prosecutor in Salt Lake City and this book tells of his most interesting case. It is of course told from the author's viewpoint, and I found the account of the trial very well done, even though the facts of the case--somewhat convoluted--do not make the case itself exceptionally interesting. After reading the book, I read the opinion of the Utah show more Supreme Court in the case at 37 P.3rd 1115, and one sees that the author has been very true to the facts, not embellishing them . I found this a very good book. show less
