Disney Interactive Studio. Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. 2012. $19.99. ERSB Rating: Everyone. Ages 6 & Up.
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Mickey Mouse are back to help Wasteland navigate a new crisis after defeating the Mad Doctor in the first Epic Mickey. This time, the supposedly redeemed Doctor warns Oswald and his wife Ortensia that a new evil is coming. Mickey returns to Wasteland just before the castle collapses and he and Oswald begin their journey to defeat the Blotlings, show more Beetleworx, and Blotworx. Game story co-written by Marv Wolfman and Junction Point Studios. The game is available for a variety of different systems including Wii, PS3, and XBOX 360. Excellent graphics and responsive controls. The game supports two-player mode with Mickey yielding his paint and thinner and Oswald his electricity remote control. Branching storylines result from player’s choices (for example, will you step through the portal or destroy it?). Sure to be in high demand with Disney fans and fans of the original Epic Mickey, though some critics claim the game can be finished too quickly. Recommended. Ages 9 & Up. show less
