Esta es una traducción al inglés de la edición árabe de Shaikh Muhammad Al-Casnazani del manuscrito "Jila´ Al-Khatir "del maestro sufí Shaikh 'Abd Al-Qadir Al-Gaylani. El manuscrito de 1000 años consta de 45 discursos, pero la reciente edición en árabe del libro clasificó los contenidos en cuarenta secciones, cada una de ellas sobre un tema espiritual especí­fico. This is an English translation of Shaikh Muhammad Al-Casnazani´s Arabic edition of the manuscript "Jila´ Al-Khatir" of the Sufi master Shaikh ´Abd Al-Qadir Al-Gaylani. The 1000 years old manuscript consists of 45 discourses, but the recent Arabic edition of the book classified the contents into forty sections each dealing with a specific spiritual topic. The words of Shaikh ´Abd Al-Qadir Al-Gaylani are the fruit of his spiritual journey in the path of love and sincerity of Prophet Muhammad. These words are based on a real story of spiritual struggle against the evil of the human soul, a struggle that made Shaikh Al-Gaylani one of the greatest spiritual teachers ever. Como se nos ha dicho en la biografí­a del Sheik, Collares de gemas, los escribas registraron cada una de sus palabras en más de 400 tinteros. Atesorada durante siglos por los afortunados que tienen una copia manuscrita, los 62 discursos completos están disponibles en inglés por primera vez. 62 Discourses (Majalis) by Shaykh 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani May Allah be pleased with him in the guesthouse (ribat) and the school house (madrasa) in Baghdad, between the years AH 545 and AH 546. Longer than the discourses of Revelations of the Unseen, these profoundly moving lectures used to be attended by crowds of more than seventy thousand people. As we have been told in the Shaykh's biography, Necklaces of Gems, more than 400 inkwells would be used in one session by the scribes recording his every word. Treasured for centuries by those fortunate enough to have a handwritten copy, the entire 62 discourses are available in English for the first time. Shaikh Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani vivió hace casi mil años, pero sus palabras trascienden el momento y el lugar en el que se registraron, para abarcar los siglos sin dificultad. Amado y venerado hasta hoy como el supremo ayudante espiritual (al-Ghawth al-Azam), el Shaikh (que Allah esté complacido con él) se dirige a su audiencia a un nivel que pasa por alto los obstáculos del corazón y la mente. Removal of Cares es la última de una serie de traducciones en curso de las obras escritas y habladas de Shaikh Abd al-Qadir por S. Abdul Majeed & Co. y nunca se ha traducido al inglés. Shaikh Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani lived almost a thousand years ago, but his words transcend the time and place in which they were recorded, to span the centuries without difficulty. Loved and revered to this day as the supreme spiritual helper (al-Ghawth al-Azam), the Shaikh (may Allah be well pleased with him) addresses his audience at a level that bypasses the obstacles of the heart and mind. The Removal of Cares is the latest in an ongoing series of translations of Shaikh Abd al-Qadir's spoken and written works by S. Abdul Majeed & Co. and has never previously been translated into English. The forty-five discourses contained in this volume were given in the year A.H. 546/1152 C.E. and were subsequent, generally speaking, to those which were recorded in the collection entitled The Sublime Revelation, (Al-Fath ar-Rabbani). The rendering of these discourses from the original Arabic into English for S. Abdul Majeed & Co. is the work of Muhtar Holland, whose many English translations include valuable and never translated original works, including writings of Ibn Taymiya, Imam al-Ghazali and, (from the Turkish), Sheikh Muzaffer Ozak al-Jerrahi and Sheikh Hasan Shushud.… (more)

El Resumen de Conocimiento Religioso (Mukhtasar fi 'Ilm ad-Din) y Perlas del Corazón (Dieciocho Sermones) por Shaikh' Abd al-Qadir Jillani (que Allah santifique su ser más í­ntimo) Este raro manuscrito se obtuvo de la colección de manuscritos de La Biblioteca del Vaticano. Por lo que se sabe, es la única copia de este trabajo que permanece en existencia. La introducción dice lo siguiente: Shaikh 'Abd al-Qadir al-Gilani (que Allah, el Soberano Independiente, lo ennoble) escribió este Resumen de Conocimiento Religioso (Mukhtasar fi' Ilm ad-Din) para el beneficio de los siervos alabados ('abidin) y seguidores del camino espiritual (salikin). Lo diseñó para incluir dos aspectos, de modo que cualquiera que lo pusiera en práctica estuviera equipado con un par de alas. The Summary of Religious Knowledge (Mukhtasar fi 'Ilm ad-Din) and Pearls of the Heart (Eighteen Sermons) by Shaikh 'Abd al-Qadir Jillani (may Allah santify his innermost being) This rare manuscript was obtained from the collection of manuscripts of the Vatican Library. So far as is known, it is the only copy of this work remaining in existence. The introduction reads as follows: Shaikh 'Abd al-Qadir al-Gilani (may Allah, the Independent Sovereign, ennoble him) wrote this Summary of Religious Knowledge (Mukhtasar fi 'Ilm ad-Din) for the benefit of worshipful servants ('abidin) and followers of the spiritual path (salikin). He designed it to include two aspects, so that anyone who put it into practise would be equipped with a pair of wings. Allah is the Guide to the path of correctness, and to Him is the return and the journey home. Section 1: The science of the Sacred Law (Shari'a) deals with general principles and specific details concerning religious duty, under seven chapter headings. Section 2: The second section is concerned with knowledge of the Spiritual Path (tariqa), which is like a sheltered kernel, while the Sacred Law (Shari'a) is like a shell that keeps it safe and sound. That is why 'Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) once said: "All the spiritual paths (Turuq) are closed to people, apart from those who follow the command of Allah's Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace)."… (more)
