Richard Altschuler, Ph.D., is the editor of The Living Legacy of Marx, Durkheim Weber: Applications and Analyses of Classical Sociological Theory by Modern Social Scientists (Gordian Knot Books), and the coauthor of Sociology: An Introduction (Harcourt Brace), Open Reality (G.P. Putnam's Sons), and show more IC: An Introductory Exposition of Infinite Capitalism (Little, Brown). He has also edited and contributed chapters to over a dozen social science textbooks published by Prentice-Hall, St. Martin's Press, McGraw-Hill, Macmillan, and Random House; published monographs and anthologies in the social sciences; consulted on studies for Planned Parenthood, the Union of Concerned Scientists, and other social service organizations; and taught courses on theory, statistics, and research methods in the sociology departments of Queens College, Temple University, and New York University. show less
